A strong word. A promise. A moment. A lifetime. A struggle. A song. A lesson. A home.

I began making music in 2016. I made the first "Always" in 2016. I've inadvertently made the same song over 50 times in the last six years, but I've only now felt a sense of contentment with this pursuit. I know that for as long as I live, I can suture, reiterate, unearth, rediscover, and make peace with the word "Always" in all of its forms, but for now, this can be the first pit stop in that excursion.

On a more materially urgent note, 3/4 of the proceeds of this album will go directly to typhoon relief efforts in my homeland of the Philippines, and at the time of this release (November 4, 2022), Typhoon Paeng has destroyed the livelihood of many toiling Filipinos across the country, and taken the lives of over a hundred.
Catastrophe after catastrophe strikes, year after year, and the cause of this intensifying climate crisis can be clearly traced to the environmental destruction and resource extraction enacted by foreign companies, especially hailing from Canada and the United States.
Material support is one crucial way to give aid to the victims of disaster, but continuing the discussion and exposure of the Philippine government's neglect, and the violence inextricably tied to US and Canadian imperialism, must also be carried to uplift the struggles of the toiling people, and work towards a future in which the very foundations of an exploitative and neglecting structure are fundamentally changed.
